Newmarket has a long and rich history in Irish Music.

Newmarket Pipe Band
Newmarket Pipe Band founded in 1963. The band have enjoyed nearly 50 years of success.We are always looking for new members to join our current band. Practice is held on Friday nights at 8pm in Kerry Road, Newmarket.

Monday Night Music Session
We run an open music session for people interested in playing or hearing local traditional music. It's mostly instrumental music but on odd occasions singers attend too. . Our event runs Monday nights 9 to 11pm at the Culturlann, €5 cover charge and there's tea & biscuits served at the break. We'd like to grow our event to be a chance for people of all ages to socialise, connect and enjoy some traditional music.

Newmarket's Gaelic 4 Mothers & Others team is a non-competitive Ladies Gaelic Football Association (LGFA) group for women over 25 who aren't currently playing adult club football. It's a fun, social initiative promoting fitness and community, where mothers can participate while their children are at other activities. The team participates in local blitzes
